Formerly known as the Low Rise Medium Density Housing Code, the Low Rise Housing Diversity Code allows dual occupancies, manor houses and terraces (up to 2 storeys) to be carried out under a fast track complying development approval as long as the proposal complies with the relevant requirements in the State Environmental Planning Policy.
A complying development approval can be issued within 20 days if the proposal meets the expected requirements.
As of 1st July 2020, the NSW government has made amendments to this code in order to include a diverse range of housing types such as terraces and manor houses which were not incorporated previously.
